Lately i have been thinking a lot about my future, what to do, where to go... I am feeling in some way like a balloon, sometimes pulled down, back, kind of trapped but also scared to flew away... A friend from Kiev told me that this year is the the year of the blue snake and it will support creative people... maybe it's the good year and some wishes will come true.  :)

Bio

My name is Eleonora, I’m a fashion designer and illustrator freelance, I studied fashion since I was 14 years old, because I always been interested to create something that represented myself and my point of view about fashion, and is the same reason I decided to create and made on my own a collection of unique and exclusive models.

Where are you originally from?

I was born in Naples ( Italy) where I live and work. This city give me a lot of inspiration every day.

How did you find Etsy? How long have you been selling on Etsy?

I’m seller on Etsy since last October. I have found Etsy on web, I have read many articles about it, and I decided to visit it because I was very curious , and at the same time I was searching a site where to open a shop. I was very impressed by the talent of many sellers and the high quality of their creations, so I decided to open a shop on Etsy.

How would you describe your style? Have any other artists etc influenced your style?

My concept of woman is feminine, sweet, romantic, and sensual. My creations are handled accurately by paying careful attention to detail, both in cuts and shapes. In particular, I try to create clothes that can make a woman feel comfortable, at ease with what she wears, and original all at the same time. Also my illustration reflect my concept of a woman. There are many artists that I love for different reasons, for their personality, for their point of view and of course for their creations. As a fashion designer my idol is Coco Chanel, I really adore her, she was the only queen of the haute couture she has create a new way to make fashion. She is an inspiration for me also because she learns that you don’t need to wear or create absurd dress to be fashion or elegant is the style that make the difference.

How did you first come to art and creativity? How did your journey in art and creativity begin?How long have you been creating that you love so much?

Since a was a little girl I spent a lot of time drawing and making new dresses for my dolls! I was very interested to look every details and people that have style and personality. I was 14 years old when I decided that my future was in fashion industry. I started to study fashion, I have a diploma as Fashion Designer and Illustrator, and two masters in Fashion. So and I will start to work as fashion designer for some industries. In the 2005, I was in a sad moment, so I decided to start something that make me feel better so I started my own collection. I love my job it’s part of me, I can’t live without creativity.

What are your main sources of inspiration?

I have a lots of inspirations, I love the Art Nouveau, the 70’s icons like Audrey Hepburn and I love to make research in the vintage market . I think that you can find inspirations also looking people in the street, or during a travel. Creative people can find inspiration everywhere they go.

What is one thing about your creative process that you think most people don't know?

Many people ask me how can I draw a dress, and I always said that the dress lives in my mind, I already see it ready to become real. One of the most beautiful thing to be creative is the moment when you got inspiration and you create in your mind and then you draw it, and you made it real. To see the complete work is an incredible moment.

How has life affected your art and art affected your life?

I love what I do, it’s my life. I have choose to be a fashion designer, because was inside of me. To create is my way to be happy, that make me feel complete, it’s a work but is especially a big passion. Creativity has always been a part of me and helped me even in difficult and sad moments.

Your message for all of us?

Believe in your dreams and yourself. Be humble and always ready to learn.

I like Etsy because it's really a wonderful "place" where you can find gorgeous stuff and I love also surfing the net looking for vintage images!!! It's nice to see how the fashion keeps looking at the past ... making of course changes but nothing it's completely new, it's always, or often, a renew of something else....I remember that a designer friend of mine told me once that nobody forge anything (poor designer) ... it's the contest around you, the style, the history, the things that yuo see!! ;)

Adoro Etsy perché è un posto fantastico dove puoi trovare cose favolose e amo anche naviare in rete alla ricerca di immagini vintage!! E' bello vedere come la moda continua ad inspirarsi dal passato...naturalmente vengono apportati dei miglioramenti ma niente è completamente nuovo, è sempre o quasi un rinnovo di qualcos'altro...ricordo che una mia amica designer una volta mi ha detto che nessuno inventa nulla (poveri designer)... è tutto legato al contesto culturale, alla moda, alla storia, alle cose che vedi !!! ;)

Questa mattina stavo navigando in internet quando ho trovato questo negozio "Rules by Mary" (un marchio Svedese) e mi sono innamorata delle foto... fantastiche!! Quando le ho viste, le farfalle, i colori, ho subito pensato ad On your head una creativa italiana che plasma bellissime mollettine per capelli, cerchietti, spille....

Fashion it's not just clothes and accessories.. it's also photos and illustrations !!! 

I always dreamt to be good to do illustrations...but unfortunately I am not ;( I remember that when I was little I was used to think something like a picture and in my head this image was amazing... but every time I tried to put this idea on a piece of paper I was unable to do like I thought!!!

Tights mania!

The winter is awful I know…but one of the things that I just love is that I can wear tights!!! I love them all but especially if they are full of color, with flowers, comics, dots etc…

Last September I bought in Avoca (an Amazing Irish shop) these kind of socks to put on the tights … In the picture you can see them in green but I bought in purple… I already told you about this shop (Avoca and fresh mint_ Only letters)… I love it and every time I went in I was ready to buy something ;)


L’inverno è assolutamente orribile…lo so …ma una delle cose che amo è quella di poter usare i collants ;) Le adoro tutte ma in particolare se sono colorate, con fiori, fumetti, pois …etc
Lo scorso Settembre ho comprato da Avoca (un favoloso negozio Irlandese) questa specie di calzettoni … nell’ immagini qui soprao li vedete in verde ma io li ho comperati violetti…. Thanks to Marì, my Dublin’s friend, I knew a brand of tights really cool… and of course I felt in love… Do you know Pamela Mann’s tights?? check it out because they are absolutely fantastic ;) I love and I bought the one with comics but I am sure that you can find a pair just perfect for you

On Etsy I found a shop called “Post”! they are, in the picture, the one with the bird and wrote “follow me”…Adorable!!! Of course this shop is one of my favourite on Etsy ;)

Grazie a Marì mia compagna di avventure Dublinesi sono venuta a conoscenza si un marchio di calze di cui mi sono naturalmente innamorata a prima vista!! Conoscete le calze di Pamela Mann?? Bhe se la risposta è no andate a farvi un giro sul sito perché sono fantastiche ;) Ho comperato quelle con i fumetti ma se sono troppo estreme sono sicura che potrai trovare quelle che fanno apposta per te.

Su Etsy ho scovato un negozio chiamato “Post”! Sono nell'immagine, quelle con l’uccellino e scritto follow me… Adorabili!!! Naturalmente questo negozio è tra i miei preferiti su Etsy ;)

La prima è francese e mi piace per l’eleganza di queste immagini fashion di ragazze sempre perfette e per questi tocchi di colore che impreziosiscono i disegni. La seconda mi piace per l’uso del colore e per l’energia in particolare di questa ragazza dalla capigliatura leonina!

Comunque questo sito ha tantissime cose carine... e leggendo scopro anche che è affiliato con Urban Outfitters... uno dei miei negozi preferiti Dublinesi. Il mondo è piccolo!

Mamma che avventura che è stata il mio viaggetto a Belfast... partita all'alba a piedi per andare ad uno dei mille mezzi di trasporto che dovevano condurmi a Belfast...a metà strada mi rendo conto di aver lasciato la scheda della digitale dentro il computer...quindi decido di tornare a casa e realizzo di aver dimenticato le chiavi....grrrrrr.... naturalmente tutto questo in un week-end in cui la famiglia dove abitavo era in vacanza!!!!!
Comunque questo fantastico negozietto merita una visitina se andate da quelle parti...piccolino ma con molte cose fatte a mano come piacciono a me!!! Spille...collane...e credo anche i vestiti vari... quindi posto qui sotto l'ennesima collana comperata in Irlanda!! ;)

My trip to Belfast was an adventure! I was by my own... so I woke up at dawn...I walk till the first mode of transport.. the luas... then the train from Dublin to Belfast! I was walking to the Luas when I realized that I left the card of my digital camera at home..inside the computer... :( so I was going back home and...I realize that i forgot the key!!!!!! I am usually really organize so I was really disappointed.... and the other thing was that.... I was at home alone because the family were I lived was on vacation :((((

... As soon as I get in Belfast I bought a new memory and I took a lot of shots :D I also enjoyed the ride around with the bus! :D A shopping note: if u are looking for something handmade and very pretty and unique you must visit Liberty blue! It is a really lovely shop, with brooches, necklaces, fancy dresses ...wow... and of course I bought a new necklace! :D Isn't it lovely!

Finita la fantastica avventura dublinese posso tornare ad occuparmi a pieno del mio piccolo blog...sperando che ci sia ancora qualcuno disposto a seguirlo!! ;)
Questo post riguarda alcune delle cose che ho stipato nella mia valigia... quanti ricordi e che spendacciona che sono stata!!!
Se parliamo di creatività focalizziamoci sull'acquisto numero 4... una favolosa borsina che si può personalizzare con foto, cartoline,ritagli.. proprio per farla diventare nostra al 100% !
Cosa ne pensate?

Piccole spesuccie....

...qua tra una pioggerella, un po' di sole e tanto vento...passano le giornate
...ieri dopo il corso di inglese sono stata in zona Henry Street... per comprarmi qualcosa da vestire ....e sono andata spedita verso Topshop....dove praticamente ho speso 40€ per 3slip(ah ah molto fashion), 1berretto(visto il ventaccio di questi giorni), e quelle bustine e foglietti troppo cool che vedete qua sopra... mi piacciono per lo stile anni '50/'60 !!
Poi uscita sono andata a fare un giretto al punto €uro2...eh eh non vi dico quante cavolate per bimbi (libretti da colorare, colori, pastelli, giochi etc.)...ma non solo, anche tantissime cosucce per creare bigliettini....e quindi ho comprato questo kit che vedete qua sotto... composto da 6 scatoline, fiocchetti, tag, perline, adesivi... eh eh
Cosa ne pensate?? ah ah
